Virtual Staging Cost in Canada, the UK and Australia (2026)
AI Flip Room · 6 min read

In the public price lists we read on 25 October 2026, virtual staging done by a service cost C$14.95 to C$49 per photo in Canada, £14.20 to £60 per image in the UK and A$22 to A$60 per image in Australia. The Canadian quotes that mention tax were before GST or HST, and two of the six Australian prices included GST. A whole-home physical staging package started at about C$2,350 plus GST, £2,100 or A$2,500 including GST, each with a few weeks of furniture hire. AI staging costs less again. Ours is billed in US dollars: the one-time Room Pack of 20 renders, $9, came to about C$12.60, £6.73 or A$12.82 at the European Central Bank rates of 23 October 2026.
We make an AI staging tool, so this page names no other business: the providers stay anonymous, and every range says how many price lists it comes from. The US picture — NAR's survey medians and our per-render arithmetic — is in what virtual staging costs.
How did we collect these prices?
We looked for providers that publish a price per photo on their own website in Canadian dollars, pounds or Australian dollars, opened every page on 25 October 2026 and copied the price as printed. A page counted only if it states the currency — "CAD", "C$", "CDN", "AUD" or "£" — with one exception: three Australian businesses print a bare dollar sign, and either their page markup declares Australian dollars or the price is quoted including GST. Canadian pages with a bare dollar sign are left out, because a Canadian business can also price in US dollars.
Most of these are entry prices ("from", "starts at") for an empty room and standard furniture. Removing existing furniture, extra revisions, rush delivery and commercial spaces usually cost more. Read the ranges as the price of a simple job, and expect the lists to change.
How much does virtual staging cost in Canada?
Four Canadian price lists print their currency: C$14.95, C$30, C$35 and C$49 per photo. The C$14.95 and C$49 prices are written before HST, and the C$49 one is AI staging sold as an add-on to a photo shoot, up to 10 images per order. Eight more Canadian businesses publish per-photo prices with a bare dollar sign; we left them out rather than guess the currency.
Canadian quotes usually leave tax out. GST is 5%. The five provinces that harmonise it with their own tax charge HST instead: 13% in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia since 1 April 2025, and 15% in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island (Canada Revenue Agency rate table, read 25 October 2026). Some other provinces also have a provincial sales tax; whether it applies to a photo service is a question for your accountant. What each province's rules require of the staged photo itself is in virtual staging in Canada.
How much does virtual staging cost in the UK?
Six UK price lists give a price per image in pounds: from £14.20, from £20, £25, £45 at two firms, and £60 for a basic job with a 48-hour turnaround. Some describe the work as done by specialists rather than AI. The AI services we found pricing in pounds sell credits instead: one sells a bundle of 20 images for £50, which is £2.50 an image.
None of the six per-image pages says whether VAT is included. The standard rate is 20% (GOV.UK), so ask whether a quote is "plus VAT" before comparing it with one that is not. The UK has no MLS: listings go to the property portals, and what a photo may show is governed by consumer protection law and the industry's codes, which our UK virtual staging guide quotes.
How much does virtual staging cost in Australia?
Six Australian price lists: A$22, A$30, A$35, A$45, A$50 and from A$60 per image. Three print "AUD" next to the price; the other three are Australian businesses that print a bare dollar sign, with Australian dollars declared in the page markup or the price quoted including GST. Two prices, A$45 and A$50, include GST; the other four pages do not say. GST is 10% (business.gov.au), so check which way a quote is written before comparing it.
Australia has no MLS either. Listings go to the portals, and the rules come from the Australian Consumer Law and state regulators; our Australian virtual staging guide quotes them.
What does one listing of eight photos cost?
Take eight staged photos as an example: the living room, the kitchen, the bedrooms and a bonus room.
| Canada | UK | Australia | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Per photo, lowest to highest list price | C$14.95 to C$49 | £14.20 to £60 | A$22 to A$60 |
| Eight photos | C$119.60 to C$392 | £113.60 to £480 | A$176 to A$480 |
| Tax | GST 5%, or HST of 13% to 15% | VAT 20% where not included | GST 10% where not included |
| Our Room Pack, 20 renders once | about C$12.60 | about £6.73 | about A$12.82 |
The Room Pack covers the eight photos with renders left over for a second style or a retry. A service price usually includes a person checking the result; with an AI tool that check is yours, and how to choose a free virtual staging tool has a 30-second check for it.
What does physical staging cost in Canada, the UK and Australia?
We found no national survey of staging costs in any of the three countries. The most-cited survey is American: NAR's 2025 medians, $1,500 with a staging service and $500 when the agent staged the home, are on our home staging statistics page. Staging companies' own price lists give a local feel:
- Canada. A British Columbia stager lists condos at C$2,350 to C$3,250 and houses at C$2,800 to C$3,350, plus GST, with up to a month of furniture rental. An Ottawa company lists C$3,295 for four rooms and C$4,495 for seven over a 30-day term, then C$375 a week.
- UK. One company starts at £2,100 for an empty property with an eight-week furniture hire, and at £1,200 for an occupied one. A Scottish stager's own guide gives £2,000 to £8,000 or more for a vacant home and £700 to £2,500 for an occupied one.
- Australia. A Brisbane stylist lists A$2,999 for a one-bedroom home up to A$5,299 for four bedrooms and two living areas, and a Melbourne company A$2,500 to A$5,400, both including GST. A styling company's guide gives A$3,500 to A$10,000 or more for a vacant home, based on a four-week campaign.
The Canadian and Australian staging pages print a dollar sign without a currency code; they quote GST, which makes them local dollars. Whether to stage for real or in the photos is weighed in virtual vs physical staging.
How much is AI staging in local currency?
Our prices are in US dollars, the same in every country. At the European Central Bank euro reference rates of 23 October 2026, cross-calculated through the euro, US$1 was C$1.3995, £0.7480 or A$1.4240:
| US dollars | Canadian dollars | Pounds | Australian dollars | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Room Pack, 20 renders once | $9 | C$12.60 | £6.73 | A$12.82 |
| Per render, Room Pack | $0.45 | C$0.63 | £0.34 | A$0.64 |
| Pro, 250 renders a month | $46 | C$64.38 | £34.41 | A$65.50 |
| Per render, Pro | $0.18 | C$0.26 | £0.14 | A$0.26 |
The first three renders are free, with no card; they carry a watermark and are meant for testing. Your bank converts at its own rate on the day of the charge, so the amount on your statement will differ a little. Room Pack, Pro and Agency renders come with a commercial license for listing photos.
Which option fits a listing in your country?
For one or two hero shots, a service at the prices above is simple: someone else does the work and checks it. For a whole gallery, or several styles of the same room, AI staging costs a fraction of that, and the check is yours. Physical staging earns its cost where the showing decides the sale. The staging cost calculator works in US or Canadian dollars and puts your own numbers side by side, and whichever way you stage, label the photos as our rules hub describes.
